Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
Since its debut in Geneva, Lamborghini's new lightweight Gallardo Superleggera, aimed to compete with the Ferrari 430CS and Porsche GT3 RS, has generated quite a buzz throughout automotive magazines. Dropping roughly 150 pounds, the already supermodel skinny Gallardo now weighs less than Nicole Richie but looks like Gisele Bündchen. The Gallardo’s V10 power plant has been fine-tuned to spit out a modest 9 more horsepower over the baby Gallardo. Lamborghini claims a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds--0.2 seconds quicker than the standard Gallardo. Early articles have been quick to point out that Lamborghini beat Ferrari to the chase, with the 430 Challenge Stradale slated to make its debut this fall.
